Dr. Nguyen was born in Vienna, Austria and moved to Lawrenceville, Georgia at the age of thirteen. While pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Georgia, she worked at U&M Family Eyecare as an optometric technician where she found her passion for the profession and love of patient care. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia and moved on to obtain her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham during which time she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and National Optometric Student Association. Dr. Nguyen is a board certified optometrist experienced in primary eyecare, ocular disease, contact lenses, and pediatric optometry. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and Georgia Optometric Association. She speaks English, German, and Vietnamese fluently. In her spare time, she enjoys classical music, hiking, and spending time with her husband, family and friends. Dr. Nguyen is happy and honored to be back at U&M Family Eyecare doing what she loves.
